We stage occupied homes for sale by minimising clutter, organising your belongings and adjusting your existing furniture and layout of rooms to make your home feel more welcoming, spacious and move-in ready.

We stage using your own furniture where possible but also offer additional furniture and accessories for hire if needed. Our aim is to boost your home’s appeal, both online and offline, thereby increasing its attractiveness and ultimately its sale potential. We also arrange offsite storage for any surplus items.

Our process

    Home Audit

    We’ll visit your home to assess what’s needed to reach its full potential. We’ll take photos and measurements and discuss ideas as we walk through your home. Afterwards, we’ll send a report explaining what should change and why, plus an estimate for the work.

    Declutter and Organise

    Once you accept the estimate, we’ll visit your home to declutter and organise your things. This will make your rooms look larger and more appealing to buyers by cutting visual clutter. We can also arrange the removal and temporary storage of your belongings if needed.

    Stage

    We will move, adjust, or remove your furniture and accessories to improve the layout, flow, and look of your home. If needed, we can provide extra furniture and accessories for hire.

    De-stage

    When your property sells, we will return to remove our furniture and accessories. If you’d like to keep any items for your new home, we will provide you with a price list.

Meet the Founder

Heather Martin is the founder of The Organising Experts®. After 30+ years designing products and services for global companies and living all over the world, she turned her passion for interiors and organising into a new career when she returned to Cheshire in 2021, where she grew up.

She is now a trained professional home organiser and home stager and helps people to declutter and organise their homes, unpack after moving house and stages occupied properties for sale. She is a qualified product and interaction designer, a certified KonMari® Consultant and a certified Professional Home Stager®. She lives in Cheshire with her partner Nick, a graphic designer and photographer, and their dog Bella.
